Friends of Pitcorthie Ladies' Pamper Night, Thursday 16th May

Many of you will have seen in the local press that Pitcorthie Primary School has been put forward for possible closure by Fife Council. Nothing is definite yet and the fight will go on but, meantime, it's business as usual for our fundraising group Friends of Pitcorthie School.

This Thursday, 16th of May, we are having a Ladies' Pamper Night in Pitcorthie School, Aberdour Road, Dunfermline from 6:30pm - 9:00pm. Doors will open at 6:15 to allow folks to book appointments at specific stalls and admittance is £3 per person, which includes free tea/coffee, zumba taster session and entry into the lucky draw.There'll be lots of stalls, including yours truly, who will be selling handmade accessories and giving feltmaking taster sessions. Other attractions include;

  • Rahiet Ashfaq, henna stylist
  • Partylite
  • Hair by Lynn Crichton of Joseph's
  • Nails by Sharron Forsyth of Joseph's
  • Nails by Nicole Muir of Guyz & Girliez
  • Jewellery by Norma
  • Facials by Kirsty Riddell
  • Bag Perfect
  • Reflexology by Judith Spriggs
  • Lindsay McLinden of Myles and Temple Spa
  • Brydie's Cupcakes
  • Hello Chocolate
  • Head massage by Kathryn Macari
I'll be selling crocheted rose brooches and hairslides
Cobweb felt butterfly brooches and hairslides
Felt lily brooches

And scarflets/neck wraps. These are designed to be just long enough to tuck into your coat collar, keeping you warm without too much uncomfortable bulk.
Birds of Paradise - an off-white merino/silk base with merino bird of paradise flowers and merino/silk yarn stems.
Trailing Ivy - reversible scarflet with different shades of green blended on one side and a solid green background with leaves and trailing merino/silk stems on the other.
Chrysanthemum - off-white merino/silk base with merino flowers in shades of red.

Sea and Sky - blended shades of blue on one side and a solid sky blue with fluffy mulberry silk 'clouds' on the other.
Springtime - off-white merino/silk base with merino vines and flowers in shades of pink and purple.

I'll also be offering a wee feltmaking taster session to make felted soaps, which are great for exfoliating in the bath. But be warned, it's best to try the feltmaking before you get your nails done.
